30 years in real estate. One mission: help landlords manage smarter.
I became a licensed Realtor in 1995. Not because it seemed like a good career move — but because I was drawn to what property represents: stability, legacy, investment, and home. For fifteen years I worked in real estate alongside everything else life demanded. In 2010 I went full-time, and I have never looked back.
My focus shifted toward distressed property — homes and landlords in crisis. I started working closely with sellers in pre-foreclosure, properties that needed to sell fast, and owners who were overwhelmed by situations they did not know how to navigate. That work changed the way I see this industry.
What I kept finding was not just distressed properties — it was distressed landlords. People who owned rental property, who were trying to do the right thing, but who had no real support system. They were getting burned by tenants, blindsided by the law, and too proud or too busy to ask for help until things fell apart.
That is why I built Rental911.
After years of working with distressed property situations, I started noticing a pattern. The landlord problems I was seeing were almost always preventable. A lease that was not enforceable. A tenant who should never have been approved. A security deposit handled incorrectly. A notice served the wrong way. Small mistakes that turned into expensive, exhausting situations.
And the landlords dealing with these situations were not bad people. They were regular people — maybe they inherited a property, or bought one as an investment, or kept their old home when they moved. They were just doing their best without the right knowledge or the right support.
I could not keep watching that happen without doing something about it. So I created a coaching model where I work directly with self-managing landlords — not to take over, but to give them the tools, the knowledge, and the backup they need to manage their own properties confidently and legally.
This is not about selling a service. It is about filling a gap that I have watched hurt good people for too long. Every landlord who walks away from a conversation with me knowing more than they did when they arrived — that is the whole point.
I have personally been through foreclosure. I know the fear, the confusion, and the desperate hope that someone out there actually knows how to help. I reached out to local government agencies looking for guidance — and what I found were paper pushers. People with titles and offices who handed me forms and pointed me somewhere else. Nobody who could actually roll up their sleeves and do the work.
That experience taught me something I have never forgotten: no one else's sense of urgency is the same as your own. When it is your home, your investment, your financial future on the line — you cannot afford someone who treats it like a task on a list. This work requires hands-on, continuous, consistent effort. There is no room for delays. There is no room for mistakes.
When I work with distressed property owners, I become the buffer. Between you and the mortgage lender. Between you and the paperwork, the phone calls, the bureaucracy, and all the minutiae that can swallow you whole if you are trying to navigate it alone. My job is to absorb that pressure so you can focus on what comes next — and to make sure that what comes next is a smooth transition, not another crisis.
I will fight for you. I will negotiate for your best interest. And I will bring the same urgency to your situation that I wish someone had brought to mine.
I went through foreclosure. I know what it takes from you — financially, emotionally, and in sleep and peace of mind. I built Rental911 because I refused to let other people go through it without a real advocate in their corner. Someone who actually shows up, does the work, and does not stop until you land on solid ground.
